Happy birthday comedy actor Steve Carell (50) and legendary director James Cameron (58)!

Comedy actor, Steve Carell, surprisingly (at least to me) turned 50 today. Why not celebrate by going to see his romantic comedy film Hope Springs in theatres? He portrays a marriage counsellor who tries to help the characters of Tommy Lee Jones and Meryl Streep fix their, well, marriage.

Or watch some of his comedy gems like The 40 Year Old Virgin; play a suppourting character in Will Ferrell’s Anchorman; watch him in the star-studded 2011 romantic comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love alongside Ryan Gosling and Julianne Moore; or view his voice talents as Gru in the family animated comedy Despicable Me; or maybe watch him in the earlier eight seasons on The Office as Michael Scott.

He’s usually very funny to watch .

If you’re not a comedy lover, watch one great Ontario native (James Cameron) direct, and often write, some incredible films like:  1984’s action flick The Terminator (which I watched a long time ago and will have to rewatch it), 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day; 2009’s great action flick Avatar; sci-fi greats like 1986’s Aliens or 1989’s The Abyss (but I haven’t seen either Aliens or The Abyss, unfortunately, but I have heard good things about them) or 1997’s romantic epic, Titanic, that won eleven Oscars including Best Picture.

Though, maybe your Cameron worship should take place on the weekend as his films can be quite lengthy.
