Texas Chainsaw 3D: The more-than surprising leader of the pack

Texas Chainsaw 3D: The more-than surprising leader of the pack

The three films on top were 1. Texas Chainsaw 3D; 2. Django Unchained; and 3. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. TC3D’s $23 million earnings was quite surprising, I never understand why so many people pay to see crap. Sure, if someone’s a critic and they want to see it and have more fun writing the review, I’d understand that. Or if someone has a gift card. But there are many other better releases out there. The first weekend of 2013 performed well, though. Here’s the top 10:

I guess The Devil Inside did make $33 million in its opening last year… People really will pay to see crappy remakes… Did you see TC3D this weekend, or just Promised Land?
