About Me

Daniel Prinn

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I’m updating this “About Me” page on August 28, 2020. The last version you might have looked at was written on February 15, 2016 (and I last updated it in 2017). I’m reading this bio now and seeing how dated it is, so it’s time for a change.

Anyway, my name’s Daniel Prinn and I am 25 years old, living in Ottawa, Canada. I started this website in the summer of 2012 when I was 18 years old, so if you peruse way back into my vault of reviews, you’ll see a change of writing style over the last eight years. Hopefully for the better!

Reading this back, it’s been way too long since I’ve updated this. I was in journalism at Algonquin College when I last wrote this. Since then, I’ve graduated that program and also graduated from a one-year scriptwriting program at the same college. I’ve written two first drafts of feature films.

A bit about my love of film. I don’t know what initially sparked it but my father collected a lot of DVD’s and I largely grew up on mediocre comedies from the mid-2000s. Since I grew up on films like that, I’m still working my way through the classics (I’ll never show my huge watchlist but, maybe one day…)

Now, in the last couple years I’m a regular voice on the Extra Features Podcast review show run by Simon Watson and Kevin Boyd, and I’ve been doing that since December 2018. Maybe earlier. Here at this site, I’ve started a podcast called The DCOM Team where my friend Bobby and I review Disney Channel Original Movies. As well, I have a (somewhat) regular interview show called Filmcraziest Interviews where I interview filmmakers. (Filmmakers and publicists: Read more at my Contact page for my e-mail address.)

Still trying to get this site as big as it can be, and it’s been a helluva journey. It’s still growing, and I hope you’ll keep on this journey with me and come back and read (or listen to) my content soon.
