There are three birthdays today that I thought were pretty worthy to write a post about. Amy Adams turned 38, Andrew Garfield turned 29, and Jonathan Ke Quan turned 41. I’ll start by explaining the accomplishments of Ke Quan, because you might be wondering just who he is. Don’t worry if you don’t though, I wouldn’t know him by his actual name either.
Jonathan Ke Quan
“Okey dokey, Dr. Jones,” or “Hold on to your potatoes,” would be the catch phrase for this little guy, you guys probably know Ke Quan best for his portrayal as Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (and I still have to see the Indy films); or as Data in The Goonies, practically the little Vietnamese James Bond.
Well, that’s all I have to say about this child star.
Amy Adams is was born in Italy and just turned 38 today. She is possibly best known to the young audience for her starring roles in Enchanted and The Muppets. She can be both a great dramatic presence (like in The Fighter) and a charismatic one, like as the innocent young aspiring nurse (at least I think that was her role) in Catch Me If You Can. Adams has been nominated for three Academy Awards: all Best Suppourting Actress nominations for the films Junebug, Doubt and The Fighter. I admire Adams because she’s just not another pretty face, but also a great screen presence and talent; and she is one actress destined for an Oscar sometime soon, maybe her role in The Master will be a winner for her.
Garfield was born in L.A., but moved back to England when he was three years old and grew up there. He just turned 29 today. He is best known for his role as Spider-Man in the super hero reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man. He’s also well known for his role in The Social Network as Eduardo, *KIND OF SPOILER ALERT* the friend turned enemy. He’s a bit of a newcomer to starring roles in Hollywood (with the 2007 exception of Boy A), and he has a promising career ahead of him.
Happy birthday, guys!
