Phyllis Diller dead at 95

Phyllis Diller (1917 – 2012)

I’m not really familiar with Diller’s work, and couldn’t tell you what she’s done if asked; but I have heard her name many times before.

She was a stand-up comedian who opened up the door for female comedians, and is well known for her distinctive laugh. She was born in Lima, Ohio and passed away in her house today in L.A. (All that information courtesy of IMDb.)

The only film that jumps out at me on her filmography is A Bug’s Life, where she voiced the Queen ant. And there’s also a few guest appearances on TV shows, like Boy Meets World for example.

She seems like a popular figure that has entertained for many years, and I hope she will R.I.P.
